Forming Degrees of Adjectives Part 1

An adjective is a word that tells about a noun. You can use some adjectives to compare people, places, or things.
 

Comparative adjectives compare two people, places, or things. We get the comparative degree of adjective by either adding -er to the adjective or using more before the adjective.
 

He is taller than his sister.

Kitty is more beautiful than her sister.
 

Superlative adjectives compare more than two people, places, or things. We get the superlative degree of adjective by either adding -est to the adjective or using most before the adjective.
 

He is the tallest person in his class.
 

Kitty is the most beautiful girl in her family.
