Put the Correct End Punctuation Part 1

There are four types of sentences:
 

A declarative sentence forms a statement. It tells about something and always ends in a period (.).

 


I have traveled the whole world.
 


An interrogative sentence asks a question. It always ends in a question mark (?).

 


Where is the library?

 

 

An imperative sentence makes a command or a polite request. It ends in an exclamation point (!) or a period (.). If the command is forceful, use an exclamation point. If the command is polite or it is a request, use a period.
 

 

Please turn off the radio.    (polite request)

           Get out!                    (command)
 

An exclamatory sentence shows surprise or strong feeling. It always ends in an exclamation point (!)
